Providing splash zone protection with superior pipeline coatings for the oil and gas industry

One Stop Shop for All Your Custom Rubber and Polyurethane Needs

Mark Tool was established in 1954. We quickly earned an excellent reputation providing downhole-cutting tool service.

In 1969, the company became Mark Tool & Rubber Co, Inc. with the application of rubber coating blast joints and SplashTRON® pipeline coating.

We quickly became the leader in splash zone protection by taking a comprehensive approach to developing the ultimate pipeline coating products for our customers in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Our vision

Mark Tool's vision is to have a strong commitment to selling quality products while delivering outstanding customer service. This vision has allowed us to continually expand our reach with innovative technology, knowledgeable personnel, and excellent service.

Today, Mark Tool & Rubber Co, Inc. is still a family-owned and operated business. We have expanded into related industrial and manufacture products like custom molded rubber products, rubber rollers, and cast urethane products.

Mark Tool team

In 2008, we also opened our in-house machine shop where we specialize in elastomeric roller machining and grounding, mold and die fabricating, and manufacturing of parts for the oil and gas industry worldwide. Our modern facility is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment available to supply your machining needs. Total capabilities include machining, milling, sawing, CNC plasma cutting, and weld fabrication.

In 2015, a collaborative alliance was formed with one of our suppliers. Soon after, we entered into a joint venture focused on research, development, and end-use applications for complete elastomeric subsea high-temperature thermal insulation systems. Our system can be installed via three methods to include S-Lay, J-Lay, and Reel-Lay. The name MTE represents the combined strengths of both Mark Tool and Elite Engineered Products.

The venture, which brings together the expertise of both companies, will build on Elite Engineered Products' elastomeric material research and development innovations and Mark Tool's application and manufacturing technology. This venture will evolve the two companies within the realm of high-temperature subsea thermal insulation systems. The partnership will offer complete turn-key solutions; the joint venture employees come from current Mark Tool and Elite Engineered Products. The teams are located in facilities in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Ohio.
