2 Products Every Pipeline Worker Should Know About – Part 2

Last week, in part 1 of this 2-part series, we dove into an in-depth review of SplashTRON®--one of the two products that every pipeline worker needs to know about.

This week, we are going to take a look at another product every pipeline worker needs to be aware of:

ThermoTRON®, the high-temperature wet insulation system for pipelines.

It gives your pipelines better resistance against high temperatures and deep waters, provides thermal insulation, and offers protection against corrosion.

ThermoTRON®’s anti-corrosive properties resist acids, alkalis, water vapor, and other corrosives found in salt water oceans.

It is also easy to apply and can be used in both cold and hot climates.

ThermoTRON® comes in two forms:

ThermoTRON 350®

ThermoTRON 350® is intended for use in the splash zone to protect risers, hull piping, subsea jumpers, and more--all with an internal operating temperature of up to 350°F.

ThermoTRON XT®

ThermoTRON XT® is meant for pipes with an internal operating temperature exceeding 350°F. It’s typically applied on subsea flow lines and tiebacks.

Both types of ThermoTRON® provide many benefits that extend the life of your offshore platforms, including:

  • Heavy duty protection against corrosion
  • Easy application
  • Heat resistance
  • Thermal insulation
